FAST4Future Project's Work Package 7 Launched in Zambia

In an exciting development for the FAST4Future project, Work Package 7 (WP7) was officially initiated during a dynamic team meeting held in Livingstone, Zambia, from July 27 to 28, 2023.
The WP7 kick-off event brought together dedicated team members from across the project, fostering collaboration and innovation to drive the initiative forward.

FAST4Future Initiative Launched at SANSA, South Africa

The Focus on Africa Space Science and Technology 4 Future development (FAST4Future) initiative has been officially launched at the South African National Space Agency (SANSA), marking a significant step toward strengthening Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education across Africa.


Key Highlights of the FAST4Future Initiative:

Quality and Equality: This WP will focus on the quality of the programmes offered by partner HEIs and on the overall academic environment and contribute to reforming and modernization of the partner HEIs, including the standardization and modernization of existing PSST programmes. The GIDGC will promote equality across the project initiatives and the implementation of good practices in terms of gender balance by empowering women in STEM.
Accessibility and Inclusion: This WP aims at the creation of the conditions to ensure accessibility of the programmes and activities. This WP will explore new ways for reaching out to the less advantaged by creating remote and inclusive learning pathways.
Impact and Dissemination: This WP will put in place new mechanisms for communication and dissemination of results coming from international collaborative projects. The Dissemination and Outreach committee will organize STEM festivals every 12 months in all the partner countries.
Contents creation: This WP will create regular events and contents for CESST ensuring continuity and sustainability of the centre. The work will be led by the CESST Board in collaboration with academics from partner institutions and experts from industry and government’s departments.
