Christian Ikechukwu Eze is a lecturer at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria (UNN) and formerly, a Consortium Board member of the Pan African Planetary and Space Science Network (PAPSSN) and UNN Local Contact Person for PAPSSN. He is also a Ph.D. candidate at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (CAMK) in Warsaw and a scholar at the Geoplanet Doctoral School. 

He is working on asteroseismology of massive stars in eclipsing binaries, which is part of the OPUS research project funded by the Polish National Science Center (2021/43/B/ST9/02972), “Exploiting the potential of asteroseismology of binary stars”, led by Prof. Gerald Handler. He has previously studied pulsar glitches and unification of active galactic nuclei and still occasionally contributes to research in these areas with his old collaborations. 

His major research interests include Asteroseismology, Massive binaries, Stellar variability, and Spectroscopy. He also has interests in pulsars, AGNs and Compact binaries. He has published several articles in reputable journals and received several outstanding academic awards.

He is currently a member of the consortium and the leader of TASK 3.1 of the Working Package 3 (WP3) of the Focus on Africa Space science and Technology 4 Future (FAST4Future). He is also a member of some professional organizations such as African Astronomical Society (AFAS) and Astronomical Society of Nigeria (ASN).
